    Our next stop for the day after Reno was Carson City Nevada. Carson City was maybe a 30 minute drive south of Reno. Most people wouldn't even know Carson City is the capital of Nevada. Being Thanksgiving, it was extremely quiet. We saw cars, but really no signs of life.     Long, long, long, long, road trip day!!!So off to Lake Tahoe, stopped for lunch at Lucerne (not Switzerland) on Clear Lake, what a lovely, lovely location.
    Dropped down to Sacramento Valley, miles, and miles and miles and miles and miles of flat featureless plains.

    We drove to Carson City and then on to Virginia City for breakfast at Sawdust Corners. Virginia City is an old west town complete with saloons and other typical places.
