    ... taxi, to give us a tour of old Havana... He was very nice, took us to the San Jose market for craft, showed us the Capitol building (very similar to the Capitol in the US) and the to China town... Yes there is a China town... The Chinese left in the revolution, but there traditions and legacy remain... There are the gates and the village... You can tell that the city was very advanced for its day... Modern technology ...

    ... br> On this note, the girls have been great as well. Phoebe has grown so much this year (Elly had already grown, as far as we were concerned) and it's been great hanging out as a family. What I mean by this is that Phoebe was really keen to go to the Zoo (San Diego Zoo) but as she saw that I was having such a great time, she said that it was ok if we didn't go to the zoo.

    ... parenting skills. After lunch we walked back to our hotel, arriving at about 2:30. Our room was ready so we checked in. What was planned as an afternoon rest time quickly turned into a 2 hour swim in the hotel pool. At the same time Evan made a succession of unsucessful phone and internet attempts to hire a car for our roadtrip which begins on Monday.
