... been a week since we were in Huntington Gardens and we felt the need to recharge our Botanic Gardens batteries. According to Trip Advisor, this is ranked the second most popular attraction in Phoenix and I was hoping that there might be a free entry offer on the second Wednesday of the month but it wasn't to be. However, it turned out that the admission fee was worth every cent. There's a exhibition of glass sculptures on at ...

... br> So i have a couple of pictures but I'm a little too tired to write out the whole day, basically we went out there, played board games and ate junk food and then came back to Phoenix, and while it doesn't sound tiring I think I'm still getting over my jetlag a bit. I went to sleep pretty early last night.

Today we're going to look at a video game museum and maybe a few other places around Phoenix.

Do you stick to the details and document the events or do you talk about it from a much more personal perspective? Or do you say, HA! Why do I care what anyone thinks? Its my blog after all and I’ll write what I want to write!!

Since a small boy Africa had captivated my imagination and I just love it. ...

... and did some house cleaning. Looks much better now—a few things done that I have been putting off. Sat outside in the sun and read for a while and then it was time for Joe S to show up for a visit. Joe showed up with 2 small pizza and we had a late lunch of pizza and lots of talk. He left before dark as he does not drive then. We later had tomato soup and the leftover pizza for late dinner, watched some TV and off to bed.

... leaving Seattle but there really is not that much of a difference between a 12 or 13 hour flight.

Flight was uneventful. Sat next to a guy in his 30's who worked at Microsoft and was on his way home to China to get married. He had gone to graduate school in Fargo! Crazy small world. As we were getting into Beijing about 5:00pm local time, our goal to avoid jet lag was to sleep as little as possible on the flight. Mostly worked.
