    ... gate, and probably boarded just in time. Unfortunately, we were on a CRJ700 series jet. That is a smaller regional jet. There is not room in the cabin for standard sized carry-on bags. One's carry-on is taken as the boarding begins; the bags are placed in the baggage hold, and then reunited with the owner at the arrival point. Unfortunately, the reuniting takes several minutes while one loiters in the jet-way.
