Excellent location. Rooms on 5th floor or higher have view of lake. Rooms are small with some traffic noise. Very nice complimentary breakfast. Close to good restaurants. We recommend it.

It was chilly when we left Winnemucca...about 50 degrees. We headed toward Lake Tahoe on a cloudy day and we were psyched when we passed into California and saw sunny blue skies but still, it is cold. The wind blew so much today that the gondolas that take you up to get a birdseye view of the lake were not running.

Screaming I flew down the mountain I went over a sharp bump and my skis flew off and went tumbling down the mountain. I ended up walking till I reached a flatter corner where I could put my skis on.
