Day #1 ended with our first official "taste of the Delta" with a catfish supper with all the trimmings at Leo's at the Levee in Rosedale. Having grown up in "The Catfish Capital of Wisconsin" (our fire department serves a ton and a quarter of Mississippi River Catfish each August), I was expecting big things. Onto the hoho bus for the last time. We had been told Helena was rather run down as indeed it is, but there is much of interest here. They are 5 years into a 10 year plan to restore the town and much has been done. There are many vacant blocks, but some "shotgun houses" have been restored and rented out. No landfall today. We fiddled about with computers and iPads. Still can't get gmail so have no way of contacting people without Facebook.
