... pictures of the Redwoods and learning about the trees themselves, we made the last push to Eureka, CA where we found another KOA to stay the night in. Once again, another fabulous meal was made by Ible and another roaring fire was provided by yours truly. After our planning for the next day we retired to the tent early and rested ourselves while we could.
Now, all this brings me to the events of today, October 17th. We woke up much ...

The historic area of Monterey is nearby and Customs House dominates. Restored to its 1840's appearance, it displays an exotic selection of goods that traders brought to exchange for cowhides. Pacific House Museum next to this had great displays depicting California' s multi National history. There are many beautiful old Adobe buildings, a legacy of ...

Had our standard camping breakfast of banana pancakes with IHOP maple syrup. With a side of avocado on pre-toasted bread. I originally laughed at how lazy you must be to buy pre-toasted bread......but it's the best thing when you are camping! You can find it at good old trusty Walmart. Had a play like massive big kids on the jumping pillow which was super fun, but also highlighted that our fitness levels were well below ...

      Beach Boardwalk Ghost town

... pretty much completely shut down aside from the arcade. The weather was warm and beautiful so it was strange that it was a veritable ghost town. It was nice to walk up and down though, it brought back so many nice memories. I think I had actually forgotten how much I loved this place. (even though it can be a bit rif-raffy)

I knew my friend Jessi's dad worked somewhere close so we set out to find him ...
