... glad to be closer to the KOA that we had reserved for the night. Before our arrival however, we ran into some familiar wildlife. Just off to the side of the road, in a vacant, green field, a herd of Roosevelt Elk were gathered! We arrived at the KOA just before dark, checked in and set up camp before it got too dark to see. ...

Taking advantage of happy hour we managed to stretch the budget to include a drink and a huge piece of banana pie, which may or may not have ruined my dinner. ... gave me some information about local services etc. There is a convenience store a few doors down so I popped along and got some cereal and soy milk for the morning. I knew I had to be away betimes in the morning for my tour of San Francisco which I had booked. Unpacked and settled in - thought the tele wasn't working and called the receptionist - she was unsure first but then it turned out just needed to change the channel! - I had tried pressing all sorts of other ...

... volleyball folks doing their thing by the other lighthouse). It was so ridiculously Californian I am not 100% sure it happened; I might have just dreamed it up and inserted Tana and Neal (I’m good that way). It was a wonderful night, and a great celebration of friendship, family, and life in general.

What a day! Wine tasting! Great architecture! Mass! Great friends! Whales! What’s not to ...
