... refuse and claim they 'won't wash anything then' when pressured. There was only 1 washer and dryer each, so we had to wait 20 minutes before we could do our first load. I think it was about 6:00 pm by this time, so mum and I tag-teamed waiting in the laundry until it was all finished at 9:30 pm! Meanwhile, dad and Ryan watched some telly and had a sleep. Ryan wasn't feeling well - he had a headache and generally felt sick. I wasn't very sympathetic - told him to drink more water. ...

Oh boy...where do I begin! So much excitement has happened in the last two weeks!! Road trip to Galveston which included stops to San Antonio and Houston, then cruising the Caribbean islands for a week, coming back to my poor dear car completely dying on me and all that that entailed, and finally heading back to work! Here I go...

With the completion of my first eight week contract, I was able to talk my work into giving me two weeks off in between my assignments. ...

... really my cup of tea, but it was lively & infectious & a big hit with the Latino crowd which is massive around here. For dinner we wanted Texas BBQ and we found a " Rudy's Country Store & Bar-B-Q " which was quite an experience. It was obviously very popular with the locals & was packed so we had to line up for a bit, but was well worth it. ... to hear some live music at this really neat venue that was half inside
and half outside. The music reminded me of a youthful version of Lyle
Lovett's Big Band. We took some pictures, said our goodbyes and then
went home. The next morning Kara and I went to Joe's hit a taco stand
in South Austin and then collected the children and Grandma Kathy. We
drove to the airport said our goodbyes to Kathy and headed for New
Orleans.
