After the family retired for a nap, I hit the gym for a rather intense lifting session. The gym was pretty good, and I had it all to myself. That made me feel a whole lot better! I roused the sleepy family for dinner at Paparazzi, the restaurant at the hotel. The food here is excellent, with great service and fabulous local wines.
All in all, a pretty good first day in LA. Early start tomorrow to the Grand Canyon.

My nachos order without cheese caused some comment and Dean had the first meal he could eat all of :>) The coastline is just fabulous all the way down to LA, even after the Big Sur ends. Grandiose mountains, beautiful blue seas, many white sand beaches (almost as good as Australia).
