We woke up to a cool cloudy day. Karen made us breakfast this morning and then we took a long walk with the 2 dogs up the hill by the campground. After breakfast, we got in the Jeep and took a drive behind the campground to the river. We drove in a very isolated area on a dirt road up and down through the canyon. Gwen and Richard live about 30 minutes from town at the base of Dora Mountain. Although they drive to Canon City and Pueblo for services, they do not seem to mind. I can see why. Their drives take them through beautiful scenery and they come back to their sanctuary above the valley.
