        ... and their historical society has done a wonderful job of marking sites, but I find it loud and busy for a small town. The park area we are in however is very peaceful.... all we here are ducks and blue jays.         After Fort Ticonderoga the lake turned more into a river. There was a last wide stretch between Gourlie Point and Stony Point, and then we started with some serious channel markers from then on.         ... 3:00 PM when it was returned. They couldn't work on us everyday, so we were there for awhile. This gave us time to overeat Amish food and eat Amish candy.         ... black flies that cause quite a stir on the raft as people smacked each other in attempts to kill the miniature beasts. Well we survived the rafting trip and headed out to our next destination of Vacation Village in the Berkshires, a timeshare just outside of Albany across the MA border. We arrived safetly and checked in to our hotsy totsy new accommodations complete with a bed and TV's. Looking forward to what our new location can provide entertainment wise, we retire for the night.
