Next stop was Nambucca heads. We were told we must go see the V wall, a V shaped wall built of large rocks that lined the outlet to the Nambucca River. ... and are traveling round for a month they had lots of tips of how to extend our stay, one of them being to travel with the guy near them in the caravan park who had a sign in his caravan that he was looking for a wife!! Hmm perhaps not!! Had an ice cream on the harbour front before slowly trudging back to our room feet killing us we collapsed for a couple of hours and then nipped out to get a pizza - have a very long day ahead of us ...

... 18 and were all so helpful and polite. I was made to feel so welcome. Kirsten took me to see some of the local sights which was like something out of Home & Away, beautiful. Quiet evening with the kids watching I am Number Four. Next day Ken & Bernadette took me for a drive and I saw the Big Banana, lookouts and beaches. ... and pretending to swim thing, and then practiced the hop up. Seemed pretty straight forward. Got into the water and after battling with the waves to get out was facing the right way and was ready to hit it! Was now or never. The instructor was standing near by and gave me a shout when to start paddling. I was off and the pressure was on, I attempted to hop up, and id done it! I was standing up on the board and heading in the right direction and everything! WOOOOP! ...

... for a walk around the resort. We saw some birds in the Avery, then chased some turkeys and lizards. After a long walk all the way to the other end of the park, we walked back, sat down in the cafe and had a baby-chino. Then we walked out to the beach and played trains: dad drew tracks in the sand and I followed them going "toot toot!".
