      ... crashing in and wind creating mist and haze. Very windy but still lovely and warm.

      After lunch we spent a couple of hours at the Coffs Harbour Butterfly House located at Bonville. The heat and humidity of the house certainly hit us as we opened up the door - but it was all worth it as soon as we saw butterflies of all colours and sizes flying around.       ... was my go. By this time a small group of school kids had turned up to have a go at throwing themselves off the jetty.

      As I sat holding onto the bars trying to force myself to let go they were very encouraging. 'Just do it,' 'jump', 'did you hear about the sharks?' etc etc. Helpful. Eventually I managed to let go of the bars just as they left us but informed us that they could hear my screams. ...

      ... that were submitted. They covered a wide range of style from super realism to collage. The term still life was widely interpreted so there was more than just fruit in a bowl. One of my favourites was a painting of a dog on the back of a ute. The winning paining was a bed spread which I thought was surprise - but I'm not the judge.  After the festivities we adjourned to an Italian restaurant for a noisy friendly meal and then to back to the hotel to ...

      Pop couldn't wait to hit the fishing spots so he and Kiernan set off to try their luck. All they have caught so far is a stingray. They are all going out fishing tonight while Nanna stays home to cook dinner. We'll have a roast tonight and save all the fish they are going to catch for tomorrow night!

      ... and shown to our rooms - very small with 2 bunk beds (4 to a room) and a TINY bathroom (1 person can just about fit in it!) and there's no soap either - lovely! Everyone had to dance to the Hokey Kokey before dinner which was odd but amusing. We then had a very long queue for dinner - included spag bol with plenty of pasta, bread roll, runner beans and carrots with salad. So filling!
