Adelaide Paringa was one of the nicest and more convenient a commendations. In a great location, and quiet for plenty of rest from long days of entertainment nearby

We make our way to Adelaide today via Virgin Airlines. It's only a short 1 hour-ish flight, but travel days still seem to take up the whole day. A private jet would really make things much easier. [I keep saying to Kathy that our life would be way easier if we had a private jet. She tells me I need to win the lottery first.] As a result our …

... terminals, then go through a customs exit. This took forever. Our flight was boarding at 7:30 am and at 7:40 we were still way far back in line. Everyone kept saying no worries, they will hold flight. Then Tony got stopped for a random check for explosives, already late for our flight, frustrating. Ended up running to departure gate and being near end of boarding, our carry ons were stuck in bins all over the plane. Getting off plane caused ...

... was a nice winding drive and when we got to the camping area we were the only ones there!
We pitched the tent and then the lightning started and thunder rumbled, a bit of rain and then all quiet. Lovely night, only waking once or twice to the sound of kangaroos thumping through the bush. We found out later they were Wallabies...difference between a Roo and a Wallaby? No idea, wallabies are a bit smaller but no idea of the exact distinction.....anyone?

... waterhole. They say it is a graded road, suitable for 2WD vehicles, but I am very happy to have our 4WD with low range gear and high travel suspension on our vehicle. It is certainly not a high speed travel.

The Pinnacles are a couple of granite outcrops that stand steeply out of the surrounding hillsides. They are the remains of plugs filling up the shaft of an ancient volcanoe and have a distinct different colour than the surrounding rocks. ...
