Adelaide Paringa was one of the nicest and more convenient a commendations. In a great location, and quiet for plenty of rest from long days of entertainment nearby

Adelaide – Sit Back and Relax

We make our way to Adelaide today via Virgin Airlines. It's only a short 1 hour-ish flight, but travel days still seem to take up the whole day. A private jet would really make things much easier. [I keep saying to Kathy that our life would be way easier if we had a private jet. She tells me I need to win the lottery first.] As a result our …

... few nights. Parked the van and unhooked and then drove into Adelaide for Philip to get a couple of things at Jaycar and then do some groceries. Back to the van for a read and relax before a LIGHT serve of snapper and salad for tea. This is a lovely park with new owners and grassy sites. All terraced between sites with plenty of room to ...

... The second time we could get in the looked aimless again, but were forced in. We go in second, the water as absolutely freezing! We found our place on the rope, held on and waited for the dolphins. They came along quite close to us and through he middle of the two ropes that were trailing the boat. We could hear them talking and see them playing together. They then spent most of their time on the other side of the boat so we could just hear them and now and then catch a glimpse. They ...

    ... ho.

Getting ready for the smoothie making Hels washed and prepped all the veg, plugged it into the wall, turned it on and then we saw smoke and sparks flying out of the side of the unit. Thinking perhaps something was wrong we tried the old turn it off and then back on again trick, but nope even more smoke plumed out of the sides - only then did we realise that US voltages are very different, about 50% of that in other countries such as Oz - ooopsie! so bye ...

How much does 18 months in Australia cost

A travel blog entry by piholland on Aug 31, 2014

... I would guess we traveled around 10,000 kms and fuel/oil cost maybe less than $3000 in total. (bearing in mind our truck was a big heavy vehicle).

I'm pretty please our daily spend was around $24, I don't think many trips could average that price around Australia. Our number one tip would be to travel slow, Australia is just to big to drive round in one go and you see a whole lot more just taking to time and concentrating on areas that interest you rather than running ...
