... blackberries near one of them and I made a yummy blackberry pie; because of the lovely weather, D did outdoor cooking and we ate picnic style outside (just like the old tent camping days!). This leg of the trip was very relaxing, we'd certainly return to Leavenworth!

... Euan so much stick for buying a cheap Lilo, we ended up having to pump up the bed again at 1.30am! Chris wasn't too impressed with me but at least we wasn't cold anymore!

... still daylight. Read my book for a while and talked with Phil and finally of to bed. I can still smell the smoke but not too bad.

August 15th-Wed- I was up at 5:30 and on the road shortly after. First stop was to look for ice. Stopped at several places before finding some. Also, as I left town I began to get into smoke again and it lasted till the freeway, and from then on it was just thick haze into SLC. Eventually arrived at Johns and he was not feeling good ...
