The call of home was getting stronger, but we mostly stuck to our travel plans, stopping in our planned places the last few days. From San Antonio, traveled to Lake Charles, LA and the next day on to Mobile, stopping in Selma along the way. ... tall grass. Amazing. Looked like Tyrian Lannister was wandering around with a torch The bride and groom seem appropriately hyped up! We had lunch at the Top of The Hill brewery. Nice beer. Bloody hot day so a bit unpleasant outside but made a cold ale worthwhile. ... still could benefit from trying to live more simply.

I'm really happy to be home. I will always appreciate the experience of studying abroad and am so thankful to my parents. Living in a different country is something that I've always wanted to do. I don't think I want to do it again and I don't think I ever want to go backpacking, but I love being a worldly and cultured person. I already miss many parts of living in Italy, but I'm excited for whatever the future ...
