Riverview, Florida, United States gospeltimeArriving in balmy Florida to familiar faces was fantastic! After a long long time of not knowing anyone or anything, the comfort of a beautiful South African accent face to face was music to our ears (never thought I'd say that)
Being met at the airport by my family and being driven in an actual car with actual airconditioning was the next marvelosity! To be driven to a clean house with clean bathrooms and hot showers and SPACE was almost too much to bare...only copious ...
... of our paper euros. All of the change euros that were left were going to Dad for his "coin collection".
Our plane was late arriving so they had to finish clearing and cleaning it before we could board. Once they made an announcement that it would be boarding soon, virtually everyone who was going to be on the flight made a big jumbled mess of a line in front of the counter and through half of the terminal. Once the rows that were to board ...
... Bed Bath & Beyond. Must travel with a neck pillow on long flights!
Back at Gram's, Conrad is working with Bruce doing fix-it stuff. Owning your own hostel allows you to learn how to fix stuff, whether you wanted to know it or not! I took pictures so that everyone could get an idea of what Gram's ...
... His place is better than the Pirate Haus, in that he owns the property, so he can do all the cool things he's done there. Gram's is 80% like the place I dream of owning. We pretty much packed yesterday, and Fran arrived back yesterday to run the Inn while we're gone so it's like we've got the final green light on the 'Christmas Tree' at a drag race....April is the organized one, my god, we've got a spreadsheet of where we'll be. I do appreciate that myself ...

So we headed to my parents' house to say goodbye. There we got to meet George, the CUTEST little chihauha (is that spelled right)? He is SO CUTE!! I want to take him home with us when we get back. Mom & Dad are just fostering him, but I told her that I want him when we get home ...
... Watchers friendly but I’ll probably break down and eat in lieu of spending money on breakfast when I arrive in Dublin.
While I’m blogging about flight quality because I have no real juicy stories yet, I was also quite impressed with my Jet Blue flight from TPA to JFK this morning. As I typically fly Delta or American and sometimes Southwest (only if it’s a really good deal), I’ve never had the Jet Blue experience before ...

Palm Harbor, Florida, United States meredithfsu... you have to have a safety drill before you can start your vacation. This was the first of many that I would participate in, but it was relatively painless. Other than the fact that I looked like a complete idiot with this life jacket on! Just as soon as the drill was over, the ship was moving. We went to the deck to watch the land fade away and my first cruise had officially begun!
