... floor. Plus you have to check out by 10am, and it is really expensive, AUS$34 a night. Only stayed there for a couple of nights and then moved on to a place called World Square Hostel, only opened three weeks ago and it is only AUS$24 a night, plus less people so you meet loads of cool guys.
spent a couple of days chilling out and going through all of the tourist places, Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Botanical Gardens, Hyde Park, plus ...
As we arrived in Sydney, we were both tired and exhausted after our whirlwind trip of New Zealand. Walking down to the grocery store, it was not as nice as all the towns we had visited in NZ. The one thing that stuck out for me was how the people dressed. It looked like they all shopped at the “give away your old clothes” bins, they had no sense of style at all. There was a lot of people with Mohawks, old ladies with purple and green hair and a ...
... hard drive. I go through them very quickly with the large file sizes I take with my cameras. I found one store that didn't overcharge horribly, considering the exchange rate and the fact that it was a US product in a foreign country.
I picked up a couple of souvenirs as well and then started to make my way back to the Circle Quay (pronounced K-E-Y) harbor in time to grab my computer and get a few minutes of internet time off the ship ...
Sorry folks for the delay but it has been a bit hectic the last few days and very tiring so not a lot of time for blogging. Not sure where to start so I will try to follow up from the last update. Went to Bondi Beach on the 'Hot on, Hot off' bus and met Jim Gaynor's sister Kate (Jim is Morag's old boss). Bondi beach was amazing but the water was bloody freezing so we just paddled, didn't have time for surfing lessons! Met Kate for lunch in a lovely ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ednabuchanThe following story and photos are taken from an email sent to me recently from Ariana at Apus Peru Adventure Travel specialists - it is an update of the Andes based community project with which I am associated.

More nervous and more excited!
This morning Pat said that he didn't want to go because he would miss his playstation too much - I hope he's joking! Anyway, too late now Pat, you're going and that's that!
But Reilly is ready! He knows he's going to see Dash, Anna, Alun and see where the Queen lives.
And we have our currency (GBP & Euros) sorted now - got some of those nifty cash passport things and going to pick-up some ...
... and Pratulya's ticket the mood was a bit low.
The drive itself is quite scenic. Ocean, hinterland. We spotted Kangaroos ( first time in our visit )in the woods beside the road. At a mall we stopped for a break and refreshment, we found a real good deal on a Wilson brand tennis racquet being sold at a 50% discount. Immediately bought it for Pratulya a tennis enthusiast.
This was actually the first time I was driving in Oz on roads which were neither the toll ...
... d booked a tour to Hunt** Valley - the oldest and north**n most wine growing district in Australia. I'd researched the various packages off**ed by the youth hostel and decided to avoid the youth for once and booked my own tour online which promised a gourmet lunch for an extra 15 bucks. I'm up at the craic of dawn, getting revenge on Alb**to and Giovanni and the new french arrival for their endless int**ruptions the night before. At one point I woke up to ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia codownsean... first dose of medicine with a Turkish pide (must eat food with medicine and pides are delicious, even at 9:00 AM), we stopped by the OZ Experience office to book a trip out to the Blue Mountains. We are going to spend the next two days out of Sydney, and actually when we head back we're going to Bondi Beach. So today we explored some of the city. After resting at home and waiting for my eyes to get a little less ...
