    Where the hell did I stay last night!!! The quiet hostel I had been taking about had turned into a circus. It must state in the rules that you shouldn't attempt to sleep before 12am in a hostel! Tannoy announcements!? Construction work!! People shouting! People banging around their rooms! People coming in and out of the room!! I know how mom must feel at 3am on a Saturday or Sunday morning now !! I knew I should have just gone out and missioned through to 3am ! Up at 2:30am **yawn** ...

    ... Pork and noodles for dinner, choc mousse. Not too bad. Watched 'Family Weekend'. Pretty average movie. Listening to Luke Bryan while I type. Watched 'Million Dollar Arm'. I really enjoyed it.     ... there was not a hardware store in sight. Then back to the Square for a gondola ride. We drifted around the canals with the gondola behind carrying a guitarist and singer, serenading the ride. Venice is actually a lagoon with a number of Islands and a bordering mainland. From there it was off to the island of Birano for a seafood lunch and drinks.     ... past all the crazy people. We had a quick shower and then headed out to Bondi Beach for a spot of lunch and a chill out by the beach. Rania and I did a recovery session by standing in the cold sea for twenty minutes trying not to get out top halves wet. We managed it but were glad when the sun came out to warm us up.
