... the Camera Club of Tucson in Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge to photograph the Sandhill Cranes and real snow birds. This will be our fourth year of visiting the Bosque the week after Thanksgiving and weather forecast, at least for the weekend is for temps in 60's.
However, we know from experience, that the weather can turn quickly so we will monitor the patterns to see when we need to make our exit to Tucson.
Our penultimate day on the road saw us make our way to Panama City for a stop over at a beach resort. ... wasn't the worst. Thanks to the hole in the ozone my skin was prepared. :) we had fajitas for supper. And tonight we pulled out the thrift shop clothes that we'd bought earlier in the trip. We all swapped and turns out I'd ended up with a kilt and matching tartan vest with a lovely orange shirt to go with it. The swamp was absolutely stunning in parts, when we pulled off the main river into the little streams it was like another world entirely. Basically had entered Narnia. On the way out we saw a big alligator possibly between 8 and 10 feet. This one jumped pretty high and it was very impressive compared to the others.
