... look for wildlife behind Jackson Lodge. We saw lots of Elk and birds, but didn't get to see a moose or bear. But it was still a great way to end our stay there. The ranger had a big spotting scope, so we could see the animals up close, and she showed us some of the cool stuff in the mountains. It was a nice way to wrap up our stay, and we were ready to head to Yellowstone - probably the place Dean and I had been looking forward to the most on this trip.
... Tuesday evening. Today, two field groups started on different sides of the butte. The plan for these groups was to traverse, and cross paths at the top. One group's plan was to go up a different side, essentially doing a loop and going down much the same way.
