The road became dramatically more beautiful with vast acres of fruit laden valleys, proudly displaying their swollen produce to the freeway. Last night Poppy took part in the animal creation competition. She made a two hump camel which she called Arthur. Then she joined in the fun with Jingles the Jester and Princess Mia playing games with the other kids and playing on the X box. We stayed in the room and lay out stretched on the beds watching tv!

Afterward we had been invited (by quite a few different folks) to attend the evening dinner and awards banquet. The club has a full-blown commercial kitchen upstairs and they have a chef come in and cook. What a feast! We had kahlua pork, curried chicken, rice, salad, rolls and ice cream. It was an all you could eat buffet and quite delicious. Once again everyone was very nice.

... about 30 minutes further south than Santa Barbara. Yesterday we drove up to Santa Barbara, which has definitely become a favourite. We spent the day on the beach and walking along the pier.
