After the fabulous fireworks we tried to go home but the queues were MASSIVE so we turned back. Because everyone but us was trying to leave we got bombarded when we were trying to find a place to eat our dinner.
When we finally got to a restaurant we had a HUGE ham and cheese sandwich which had about 15 or more ...

Throughout the spring Epcot is the host of the flower and garden festival which is an impressive time for all those gardeners out there. As we made our tour around for the princesses we made sure to check out all the topiarys (that's flower displays for folks like me). They had the fab five, Captain Hook, Snow White, and many more. I obviously agreed, as it is the MAGIC KINGDOM for crying out loud. So, I rested for about an hour before heading back to MK!

    Not too bad

    from anonymous

we were staying at the hotel for a week and found the hotel not too bad the room we were in was ok apart from it was damp but we weren"t in it for that long during the day the other down side was that a couple of the rooms by ours got broken in to but luckily ours didnt but its what you have to expect as it goes on all over the world it was in a handy location and the staff were reasonably friendly i dont think it would be my first choice to stop in again but would if i had to

This Travelodge is the best place to stay in Orlando. It has staff that can't do enough for you. Good sized clean rooms. Pool was always clean and with plenty of pool towels and a nice poolside bar. Relly nice reception staff and security gaurd.

Well localted for ALL the sights. Good local eating places of very good value. A day out at Daytona beach is only about an hour away.

We will be returning to this hotel when ever we go back to Florida.

Any one staying here will not be disappointed as long as you are not expecting to be waited on hand and foot.

With so much to do and see and places to eat in the very local area, you don't need to waste money on room services. Going out and finding what you want, is not too far to go.

This is a well priced, well located, clean and friendly hotel. There are a lot of hotels in the state that are very much worse than this 1.

Try it out, relax and ENJOY IT.

    Hotel from hell

we arrived late at night to a room that wasnt fit to keep an animal in,the bath had a dark brown stain around the entire unit,in the tiolet was someones stools floating around and the beds were filthy the pillows were tiny square hard crusty lumps the linen was wet and stunk of mildew the taps didnt run they hit the roof when trying to use them i went to reception to complain only to find so many other pepole doing the same thing i refused to lay on the beds so me and my sons sat up all night we did manage to move out but beware this will cost you to tranfer.also we were approached by a gang near the hotel and told they would shoot us if they saw us again i urge anyone staying here to be very carefull of night activity in the imetiate area, and to make things worse JETLIFE whom i might add did nothing about our frighting experience told us that they have removed this hotel from the brochure but guess what NO THEY HAVENT.and one last word DO NOT STAY IN THIS FILTHEY PIT HOLE THEY CALL A NICE FAMILY HOTEL!!!!!

    Depressing

    from anonymous

We wanted a no-frills hotel that would just be a base as we were out every day. This fulfilled that criteria but went so far as to make us really reluctant to come back at night. It was utterly devoid of any charm, the decor was very drab and the beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. The air con was old and noisy, as was the fridge, the bathroom wasn't very clean and our neighbours kept us awake at night. The only good thing about it was its location. We stayed at the Ramada across the road from this hotel the year before which was the same price but much better value for money. This felt like a cheap motel. I wouldn't go back.

    Good hotel

I have just got back from staying at this hotel after i had booked and read the reviews on here i was a little aprehensive to say the least!!we checked in and were allocated a room (106) we walked in and it stunk of smoke when we had requested a no smoking room we ummed and ahhed for a couple of minutes then i went to the front desk let them know we requested non smoking.. they were super helpfull and the second room we had was great, none smelly and a better air con system.i would stay at this hotel again if the price was right the staff were very friendly, the pool was a decent size (bigger tham other hotel pools in the area) and the breakfast even though it was only coffe juice donuts and tast was super!

    Not good value

    from TheBloomfamily

We stayed at this hotel in december 03' and having been to florida before and stayed in ecomomy accomodation, which was excellent value for money we never thought this was going to be any different..how wrong we were.. the room we had was damp and infested with ants you could leave nothing on the floor as within miniutes it would be crawling with them..food in the room was definatley not an option..the decor was shabby and the staff not very helpful. there are much nicer hotels in orlando for the same price..so give this one a miss

    Cheap but not very chearful

    from anonymous

Visited in 2002 and from what I understand it hasn't improved. At the time I was so excited about my holiday that I took no notice of the problems at the hotel.

The accomodation was not clean. There were stains on the walls and the bathroom facilities were worn. The air con rattled but you couldn't switch it off as it got too humid too quickly. The TV was also broken and only displayed blue which is a shame because I became addicted to channel 13 news??? The ice machine only worked for two days out of fourteen which meant a hike over to the other block. What made me ignore these problems was the horrific hotel we stayed in the night before we flew out. The Travelodge was a marked improvement!

In its favour the lady on the info desk was very friendly and there was an obvious security presence. I wouldn't return as there is better accomodation available in Orlando for the same price.

    Orlando on a budget

    from michelle097

One of the best Hotels, i found was the Travelodge, Internationel drive. A basic hotel, friendly staff, clean environment, the only comment, i would give would be it needs a touch of paint, and revamping, but you only stay there for sleeping. The breakfast advertised, is only donuts and coffee and juice, so you may need to have breakfast at a local restrurant. Near to public transport, near Wet and Wild theme park and large shopping complex.

    A nasty mess!!!

    from anonymous

Me and my boyfriend went to Orlando during the early part of August for a week. We went through a travel agency. We were given hotel arrangements for the Traveloge on International Drive, and oh what a mistake that was. When we first arrived, we walked into the lobby and there was a mildewy smell in the lobby. So we continued to check-in, upon entering our room it was a mess. It smelled of pure cigarette smoke, and there was a mildewy smell in the room. Underneath the airconditioner there was a puddle of water just sitting there. we walked on the balcony to view the pool, and there were several dirty towels sitting on the balcony. All around the door was mildew. It was just a mess. I immediately went downstairs and demanded another room.

So the manager thought she was doing me a favor by upgrading our room to a Kings suite. That was just a worse minus the mildew. I recommend that you stay away from any traveloge in the Orlando area.

    A big let down!

    from anonymous

Rooms were filthy, and were ALL smoking rooms despite the fact that we booked NON smoking rooms a YEAR in advance, and had this confirmed on paper!!. We found yellow mould growing on the carpets in both our rooms (which the cleaning ladies hoovered around everyday!!!) and both rooms also had problems with ants coming up through the sinks. We also had to run the risk of breaking our necks on the nearest staicase because the edges of the steps were loose. We booked our holiday through Virgin, and as regular virgin users i can honestly say that this hotel was not up to virgin standards, and we wouldnt go there again if it were the last hotel in Orlando. For a fairly new hotel, it was of an amazingly bad standard and very shabby.
