Yesterday we woke to -10 degrees in D.C. and left for Orlando's 18 degrees. Landing in Orlando just after lunch, we got a shuttle to our resort before relaxing for the evening by playing mini golf (on the resorts Pirate-themed course) and having dinner at the resort's smokehouse. Today we headed to Disneyworld's Magic Kingdom theme park, via a complimentary bus at 8.30am. Organizing our ...

... beetles. It was also amazing.

The second part of Harry Potter world was up next- diagon alley, which excited the **** out of Kate. It did however, provide some of the best people watching i've ever seen. Kids and grown ups alike wearing capes whipping wands around and casting spells. Hilarious!

The one ride that we decided would be worthwhile was Harry potter and escape from the gringotts. We were staring at an hour wait, maybe more, but ...

A very early start today - up at 6 to get to Universal Studios for a full day of Harry Potter fun! Shannon came over and we left for the park - Emily, Phillip, Shannon, Phillips cop friend and neighbour, George, and I. With no rain forecast for today (a first!) we were excited to be spending the day in the sun at the well established as well as brand new sections of theme parks. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter.. Spread over 2 parks with ...

... hunt for an adrenaline hit. The men in black ride was exactly what we needed and involved us going around on a cart thing shooting at aliens and of course it was a competition so everyone got really into it. We left there all smiles and headed towards the Simpsons area. The ride in here was nothing like I've ever experienced and I was pleasantly surprised because I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was basically a giant simulator machine with a screen in front that was ...

... and David was happy with his own room with a double bed and own TV. We also had free wi-fi and international phone calls.

We didn't want to waste a moment of our trip so we got up early and made our way to the Kennedy Space Center to check out this important element of American history and culture. David was in his element! This was his second visit to Kennedy and he could almost take us on a ...
