    Hiked a crazy river trail in the morning, made Rainy Pass at 5 pm and were driven in to a wonderful world. The World of the Waylands. Thanks so much guys, too kind. We will return to trail tomorrow morning and start our final approach to the finish line. Another 60.77 miles and we will reach a monument on a border.     Woke to the sound of thunder and rain but thankfully only lasted a couple of hours. Phil had some fun dressing Charlie up in holster and gun (yes real as Phil used to be a policeman) boots, vest and hat he looked pretty funny lol...

    ... but he or the horse was not seriously injured. The horse ran into the events center stadium without a jockey on him. Supposedly there are also tests done before to make sure the horses can swim. Outside of the Suicide Race, we watched several hours of events like roping calves. The event had probably over 1,000 people camped out and several food/souvenir vendors. I guess it is good to get this stuff from time to time, but not too often.
