    Despite Oscar's protests we stopped again at the 'Alluvial Fan' as it was recommended to us by some people at the chipmunk rock. It was only a 5 minute walk up a trail, passing a bear notice advising 'fighting back' if attacked (I was a bit unnerved by that). We had a lovely half hour chucking sticks in the river.     ... but definitely not something to ignore. We wound down the mountain and before I knew it we were at the turnoff towards Boulder. I drove up through the suburbs, and traffic, passed Buffalo Bills grave and into Boulder. First impressions were it was a nice, relaxing looking town. I followed the GPS to the restaurant which is on the middle of town. As the GPS takes me on this odd route, I see college kids playing beer pong on their front lawn. Not even a lot ...

    ... up with a system: a chapter of his life however long and one of mine. For the next 8 hours, excluding gas, food and bathroom breaks we talked about our lives with one another and it was one of the most beautiful experiences i hoped to have with my dad and blessed to have been fathered by him even with the occasional backseat driving statements made on the road.

    With my mom traveling close behind in the Nissan, i felt truly blessed to be on this adventure ...

    And in case you are wondering about the subtle Union Jack which makes an appearance in the photo, it is not just in our honour (!), but Devin is English too, despite the accent!

    ... goats' cheese and drizzled with balsamic and a massive corned-beef sandwich with local dressing and home made bread.....we wolfed it down.
