It was a flustering experience. Our first US security check. Pockets empty, belts off, shoes off for goodness sake, and back packs through the x-ray. There was also a new body scanner which was used too.

In order to cross the creek, we have to pull ourselves across ropes that are tied to trees located on both sides of the creek. This is called a tyrolean traverse. We clip our gear and ourselves onto the ropes using carabiners and draws and then pull ourselves along the length of the rope. Talk about a workout!

Another gorgeous day in Colorado although warm this afternoon with temperatures in the high 80's. Spent several hours visiting downtown Denver.
