... Our first stop was Union Station for lunch. They have converted this area adjacent to the ballpark as a great place to stroll and have lunch. We chose Hopdoddy's....a restaurant that actually got its start in Austin! Our fair city has many "firsts." They are known for their yummy milkshakes...Harper and Dru had an Oreo shake and Gavin branched out and tried the Bacon Maple Waffle Cone! I had a taste and it was yummy! No milkshake ...

Made poached eggs for the Master and struck out to see a little of Cheyenne. We stayed way too long at the train station Museum in downtown but explored it thoroughly. What an amazing feat to build our transcontinental railroads....and a wooden trestle bridge with lumber hauled in from Michigan!
This part of the country has huge uplifts ...

We're in the middle of Wyoming, in the "big" town of Lander. It's got 8,000 people, which is huge compared to some of the places we've stayed at. Our smallest so far had a population of just 119. Lander has traffic lights, something we've not seen for a while.

Tonight was special. I found a bike shop and bought some new cleats and brake shoes. They were happy to borrow the brake ...

... and who doersn'f like snow capped tetons?) across Jackson lake were little short of breathtaking. The other thing that I particularly liked about the Grand Tetons NP was that those bloody annoying tourists didn't seem to know the place existed. There was no competing for spots for a view, no hassles for parks, and no gigantic RVs clogging the roads.

If there was anything to complain about it ...
