... between two mountain ranges: the Boston Mountains, and the Ouachita Mountains. We drove by Carrie Underwood's home town, a small town not too far from the Arkansas border.

Just before we stopped for the day, we drove into Henryetta to buy a few groceries at WalMart. We drove the length of Main Street, about one mile long. The street was lined with dilapidated store fronts. If this is typical then small town Oklahoma is in trouble.

... fiasco we decided to get some lighter fluid and some presto logs. The wood was HARD wood. Oak, I'm sure. That's all over down here. Tonight I asked the attendant what kind of wood it is.. "Oak, hickory and some other wood," probably hardwood. So tonight we are ready for any wood they want to throw at us. We also found a liquor store and got some rum and Kahlua.
