We had to first go south towards Williams, AZ, to pick up the I-40 for a while, so were able to briefly touch on Route 66 again (we’ve been off it for a while now!). Williams has some Route 66 flavour, with some old diners and a trading post, but not on the scale of the next stop: Seligman, AZ. So we started preparing - you know, bought a big map, made a huge list for each state of what we would like to see off of roadsideamerica.com and all the national parks, and we RV shopped online. Sam has quite the knowledge of cars and always had an attraction to corvairs but never saw an UltraVan before.

And let’s not forget the strange people, in both appearance and their antics; it was truly a sight to see. We did play the slots at the Golden Nugget, and after about an hour and losing a combined total of $20.00 we rejoined the crowd out on the street.
... a tiny office for United Airlines at the back of a luggage carousel, and the lady gave us a phone number. Rang the number, and were delighted to find out they had the items; however in order for them to be able to post them to us at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, they had to send us a form, which John had to sign, and also scan a copy of his passport. And their office closes at 3pm. So out to the taxi queue which already had about 250 ...
... Dior that were half sneaker/half pump. Nothing that caught my eye though...I definately had my fill of Las Vegas and was ready to head back to Phoenix.
5 hours later I dropped my sister off at her house then headed back to my house. Forgot how exhausting driving can be...glad I visited, really enjoyed the time with my sister and cousin. Probably won't bowl in Vegas for another 10 years, but the Cosmopolitan and some friends can definitely lure me back sooner.
