... stay at a Motel 6 on my way to DC to break up the drive. But I cancelled that and extended my stay in Wilmington.

I went to the beach a couple of times. Again, a beautiful beach. But both days were pretty windy and chilly and there were zillions of spring break folks everywhere.

We had planned to visit USS North Carolina but it was raining very hard, not good to look round a warship so Peter went to the small grocery store and bought bacon, eggs & tomatoes for breakfast, also English muffins but then found there was no toaster - still was a good breakfast. Plans scuppered again by rain! We were going to get the ferry to Fort Sumter this morning but as we left hotel it started raining really hard, the ferry wouldn't be good in this weather, so into car and start drive north.
