Am so very tired, too tired to type...spent the day at Legoland, almost no queues all day which was great, but lots and lots of walking.
Sunny day there, but not too hot and not too cold either - I think we picked the perfect day for it.
J&K enjoyed the roller coasters there but they were very tame, nowhere near ...
... hotel for our last two nights in the US – it has two king-sized beds, a heated pool, hot breakfast included and a free shuttle to Legoland. Most importantly the hotel has a 95% good rating on tripadvisor.com. Since Legoland charges $12 for parking we can justify spending the extra money just a little.
American Pet Peeve: Toilet doors in public restrooms that are only ½ to ¾ size – what, are loo doors so expensive over here ...
... to roll backwards down the exit ramp and swing the car around to the correct side of the road to head towards the Gas station. This left me only 30 meters from the station and I was sure they'd have a spare gas can.......Yeah right!
They tried to stiff me $8.99 + tax for a 2 gallon plastic can which I'd have to throw away instantly as we fly out tomorrow to NY .......So I played dumb (again) and pulled out a spare Gallon water container out the car and asked for $2 on pump 8 ...
... towards Oceanside. Legoland is tomorrow and we need to be nearby. The freeway drive is a cinch. But, when we turn toward the coast, we run into disaster - a brush fire had earlier swept through the area and many roads were closed, leaving those remaining heavily conjested. I booked a ticket to tonight's baseball game in San Diego between the Padres and the Giants. I was cutting it reasonably fine. This is getting a bit too ...

The fireworks were to be a celebration of Christmas around the world and although we cheered loudly for Australia, we made sure we shouted our disapproval at the suggestion by the narrator that Australians indulged on roast turkey dinners and steamed Christmas pudding for Christmas lunch. Then back to "home" for yet another viewing of the Grinch, a couple of soft tacos and bed.

SD was pretty fun, we went to this concert thing called Sun God, which is basically where all the ucsd students get drunk all day and party and whatnot.
