... Visited the courthouse - it was rebuilt in 1929 to the same standard as the one that burnt down in the 1925 earthquake. An amazing building with a very Spanish influence - lots of tiling (exactly as we had seen in Portugal). We walked to the top of the tower for amazing views over the city.

After we left the San Antonia dePadua Mission, we continued south through San Luis Obispo. The only overnight place we were able to locate was Morro Bay State Park. There are other parks in the area but as it was dusk around 4:30 we decided to stay here. This isn't a place I’d recommend just spend the night. The fees in California State Parks are high compared to private RV parks. Morro Bay costs $50 a night but we got $2 off ...

After another late night chatting, we were up around 9am. We had breakfast and then began packing our stuff back into Brian ready to head north along the coast towards San Francisco. Around 1pm, after booking our train to LA and our hotel there for our last nights in the US before flying home, we said good bye to Alana and headed off. After restocking the fridge and refuelling, we headed north.
It has been a while, I guess being back on land living in a house we got sort of caught up in the domestic and social life of Shell Beach. We have been working on the house and spending time with our friends in California and just could not find the time to write.
Lee-Anne had a flying visit home to OZ and had a good time visiting everyone although it was very hectic and not without some problems.

This beautiful old house was left to Kathy after Helen Passed away. We all miss Helen so much.
