    Wow!!! We had breakfast delivered to our room. Yes. We were able to see the ocean from our room. We stepped out of our doors and we were looking at the ocean. We both had lamb chops for our meal. This of course made up for the accommodations. Last night we fought with the bugs. We had bugs flying in our room and one landed in the bed. Nope! Not bed …

    Sue and France have been great hosts, ensuring we have seen the sights of Bowen and Airlie Beach, enjoyed the Seafood/Roast Buffet at the Bowls Club in Bowen, walked to every lookout in
    Bowen and even had a chance to spend a day on a boat fishing for Mackerel. Great day with me catching an est. 8kg Cobia on my Barra Gear which was fabulous.

    The girls weren’t idle, Bowen Sunday Market in the morning and the movies in the afternoon.

    ... meet up with Kevin and June Cummins. The country side heading to Townsville is mainly Cane farms and cattle country but it is extremely dry up this way. Not much to see on way to Townsville, lots of little beachside towns and fishing villages.     ... and obviously the most popular caravan park and beach. After taking a few more pic's we drove back to town and found Woolies where we did a shop. Headed back to our camp then, having had what we felt a good look at Bowen. Arrived at camp and relaxed until Happy Hour, where we had our damper again with cocky joy! Yumm!
