... to decide, as the highway went right through the town - no bypasses here. Our brochures mentioned that this was a produce hub, full of fruits, nuts, chocolates etc, so we thought a good place for lunch. The town was very small and didn't have much. It was 11pm when we left Sydney on board our first greyhound coach and the start of our east coast adventure! 7 hours & 30 minutes later we arrived at Coffs Harbour. We were making our way to Lake Mackenzie. Troy took us to a part of the lake, no other groups were at. The sand there was so white and Troy had us all ...

Took a long time but I finally got a picture because they blend into the trees so well. I guess they are pretty rare but not around here and they are just as noisy as the white ones. lol It is said that if you see 2 there will be 2 days of rain ...

... 8217;re out early in the morning to head up to Byron Bay, which we hope will be better. Coffs Harbour was OK, but it’s very much small-town Australia in the sense that it’s designed for drivers, and without a car getting around is actually a little tricky. There’s no real centre or downtown area which makes socialising a little tricky too. It’s interesting: before we came away people joked that we were going away on a ...
