... earlier, and when we got down to the waterfront we were disappointed to find that the only beach there was scruffy and really the only things of interest downtown were the Centre Mall, the long walking jetty (close to 1000 yards long), and the enclosed marina and the ocean walkway around the marina to the hill at the end of the harbour called Muttonbird Island. ... sort out the sleeping bags. The huntsman spiders move really quickly and Garry was on watch. The spider was still for a long time but when Garry moved it would race really quickly towards him before stopping when he did, Garry had made a new friend. We got the tent down and packed away safely and drove up to the petrol station where we parked up to take a shower in the adjoining restaurants bathrooms.
