... the marina is crowded with fishing trawlers. Work boats, not pleasure craft, as in Nelson Bay or Port Macquarie.

The beach is long and open, with the continual roar of wave after wave breaking on the shore. I had an early bus and Ken & Bernadette got up to drop me to the Greyhound stop, very kind of them. The hospitality of the people I have met here has been excellent. I stopped off in Ballina for lunch by the water on the recommendation of some friends, quaint little place, people very friendly. I then jumped on the ...

... Zippy. But that was my fault. It was funny.

After everyone got kisses, the dolphins and seals put on a show for us. The seals did some tricks on land like balancing balls, doing handstands, clapping and making lots of noise. And the dolphins did lots of tricks in the water, like tail stands, racing each other, and jumping very very high into the sky and making big splashes! I had lots of fun.

After the aquarium, we went to a place that makes wooden shoes ...
