Regardless of the outcome of my surfing, the day was so much fun. That evening we made a quick visit to Berkeley’s estate home up on Toro Canyon and got to see Jody for a quick hello. My and Bobby's travels to China and Hong Kong were many years ago, when there was really no tourism in China, so things have changed. Jack; Rebecca and Laurent's son was very entertaining and has some cool fire engines. He even has the fire chief outfit. Alan and Judy looked great even being jet lagged. They are very proud grandparents ...

... homecoming! Dad had Domino's Pizza waiting for us. We showed him pictures and gave him a brief recap of the trip. Then, Mom went and took a bath, and Dad and I stayed up until after midnight talking about our trip, and family, and mountain lions, and I am so happy to be home and so much more appreciative of everything I have.

There's nothing like family, and there's no place like home.
