... 6 hours (5:50:42), which was my goal, even though this race was intended to be a "just for fun" race. This was good enough for 19th in my age group (of about 50). Keith enjoyed his no-pressure, just for fun race, by finishing with a time of 4:36:40, good enough for 12th place in his age group.
Overall, it was a fabulous day. The weather was beautiful. The scenery was lovely. I couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation race.

Torrential downpours and whales
... bought a bottle of that! I can safely say that it is going to last me a long time.
Popped into Coles on the way home and we decided to have a bit of a mass feast so we did chicken fajitas! I was obviously in my element with all these people to cook for so I popped my music in my ears and cooked along to one direction! haha. Dinner was lovely and was great just to sit around, chat and laugh with people who all got along.
Thursday bought more rain and some new people ...
LA TEMPETE AVANT LE CALME
... l'ouest. que l'Australie baigne dans ses folles chaleurs(30 à 40 C)) vers l'est, on a voyagé une seule journée plus tard que le moment où se sont produit de monstrueux orages. Aussi, le 1er mars au soir, après un détour imprévu de 200 km( car la route directe menant d'Adélaïde à Broken Hill était bloquée, un pont ayant été emporté par les inondations), on arrive à cette ville minière de 25000 habitants, à 3 heures de route de tout autre village, sous la pluie, dans un CARAVAN ...

Jeg vågnede ved, at Lars stod op og tog løbetøjet på
og blev mildest talt chorkeret, da han fortalte at klokken var 8.45. Eftersom
at vi i går gik til ro kl. 22.30, må man formode, at vi havde trængt til noget
søvn. Da Lars var løbet, stod jeg og børnene op og fik os noget morgenmad. Lars
var endnu ikke kommet hjem da vi var færdige, så vi besluttede os for at bruge
formiddagstimerne ...
Day 21: Turn to Port (Macquarie)
... like reading ponana but totally plain and void of anything. It sure did fill up though and by 02:30 I had had enough of laughing at the way they danced, listening to the awful karaoke and the damn high prices of the drinks. It improved my day no end and I hd a great night out. It's amazing what one experience can do. Alcohol consumed: 18 or so various stubbies, schooners and tinnies Maximum temperature: 18 degrees Distance walked: 21.4 ...
