So after all our previous cruises we finally found the perfect hotel in Ft Lauderdale. The Courtyard at the airport is only ten minutes away from the Princess cruise terminal with a gas station as you drive out. Perfect. Pulled into the cruise parking garage basically next to the ship. Getting this part of the cruise down pretty good. We managed to get onboard about 12:45, so now it was lunch time. Lunch was going well till eight people wanting a table walked up wanting us to ...

... amp; veg too. Very delicious - not a lot, but just enough to satisfy our needs, along with some cold fruit juices. From our seats we could see the ocean drive we needed to get on & over a castle looking draw-bridge to the island.

As we watched the Florida coast fade into the distance, we met a ...

... arrived at the airport, we were able to move to a noon flight, which got in at 3pm. However, because we had used the Luggage Valet service, we couldn’t switch our bags. We had a few hurdles with our carryon again, having to get back in line to check it, and then trying to explain to the security greeter guy that not only were we Priority, but our flight was in 45 minutes! The security line was long…he finally got it and ushered ...

... been so nervous to travel all of this time. Anyways, Roland was there waiting for us and so we were off. He is a Costa Rican native, from Quepos. He had a somewhat luxurious van, about 12 seats, nice leather... AC, you name it. All just for us! I must admit I felt spoiled. After being to Belize and experiences some rather unpleasant driving experiences I had prepared myself for the worst. I was in shock that the roads were paved and in good ...
