First of all, thanks for all your prayers and best wishes for my ASS. It's much better now that the callouses act as a protective shield. Here's some numbers for you. We've stayed in 12 different hotel rooms,11 of the Holiday Inn Express(which means I've eaten 24 microwave sausage/cardboard patties and bathed with soap the size of postage stamps 12 times). By the time we get to Florida,we will have ...

On one side of the plaza a group of Hopi Indians were selling jewellery and artifacts, which we browsed for a while, before walking on to Santa Fe's main church. We also stumbled across a couple of pretty courtyards tucked away behind the streets, that were filled with shops selling all sorts of touristy memorabilia, and fancy restaurants. On the way back to the motel, Jim popped into the local supermarket and got talking to an old hippy from Lewisham of all places ...

We reached Antonito earlier then anticipated, but Laura was relieved that she would have some time to recuperate in the motel room before dinner. However, because of our tight budget, we had booked the cheapest place in town (Narrow Gauge Inn ...
... with it a wonderful and vibrant market. Now you can stay in the heart of Santa Fe, shop at the market for fresh food, and prepare your own meal if you stay at a short term rental unit like the units that are available at El Corazon De Santa Fe for example. Whether your interest is the opera, arts, good food or simply the great outdoors, a visit to Santa Fe is one you will not regret.

Santa Fe, United States sabregen... Mission Church. It was built in 1610. The wall behind the alter is unbelievable. Another candle, more prayers. Then another hike over to see the Loretto Chapel and it’s "miraculous staircase". It is a spiral staircase with no visible means of support. An anonymous carpenter built it in 1878. No pictures allowed, but I did get a postcard.
Then I walked around some more, browsing the shops. Most of ...

Back in New Mexico and back to seeing oil wells. They are everywhere. And casinos are everywhere out here. I saw three today. Not the big ones that we have back home, very small. But I managed to control myself and passed them by. I had more problems ...
... formed canyon water slide, however we forgot it was a Saturday and the queue for the park was back into the road. Undeterred we stopped down the road and climbed down to a different part of the canyon. It was beautiful, secluded with a nice stream and pool and we were all by ourselves, the water was freezing though so our private lagoon was a short stop.
Next we powered onto Holbroke because....we were to tired to drive on to Santa ...
... up. Too much work. It took them well over an hour to get everything done. People from Custer, SD were next to us. Nice breeze from the lake now and then so we have the windows open though it is pretty hot – 90 degrees. We will leave fairly early tomorrow to be home early so just relax and enjoy a quiet evening. Bill and Lisa will be arriving tomorrow afternoon from Virginia and we look forward ...
Las Vegas, New Mexico, United States rballard29... after eleven to get back on the road, just so I could eat there, again: blue corn tacos with green chile.
I fell in love with New Mexico. I think I stopped everywhere because I was reluctant to leave. this put me way behind on the road to Sedona.
