We have a cold day today but a short one. We need to make Portland Maine so Carolyn can fly home. We stop at a state park called Battle Mountain and pay $9 entrance fee to take a 2 mile road up to the top. The view is of Penobscot Bay. It is colder on top with the wind than when we are on the bike. We are using our electric jackets to keep warm. We make a stop at the LL Bean super store for a few small purchases. The leaves started to turn in Ernest in New ...

Despite our best intentions to head off early to White Mountain, a text from Amy about Ian Somerhalder meant a quick diversion to the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Kind of hard not too when even though Jessie , Nora and I were planned guests. ...

Out of all of the restaurants I passed on my trip through, I decided to try out the Arundel Wharf. It was a beautiful day, so sitting outside on their large deck, which sits directly on the Kennebunk River, seemed perfect. Of course I had to have a lobster roll (for $19) and I was able to watch as “The Nicks Chance,” a huge whale watch boat took groups of people in and out to see some whales. Boats are docked all around ...

... br> We came a day early to join our tour group, many of whom are already here in Wells, Maine (near Kennebunkport). The Wagon Masters (lead the coaches) are from Orchard, New York and the Tail Gunners (who bring up the rear) are from Portsmouth, Maine. Today, we did laundry and got acquainted with some of our fellow travelers from California (4 couples), Colorado, Florida (4 couples), Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, ...
