Easy-Squeezy driving, but crappy roads

A travel blog entry by joec404

... acres, and acres, and acres of FEMA trailers parked out in the fields left over from Katrina. You talk about millions of taxpayer money sitting there, yikes. Must be a better way to dispose of stuff like this.

There's a real advantage of going on the back roads - you see the real America, and quirky stuff about peoples lives. There's a real disadvantage taking the back roads - you ...

After a short 4 hour drive from Dallas we made it to our campsite in Louisiana. We are pretty central in Louisiana staying in a national park right on a lake. Assuming there are no alligators it will be refreshing to swim in it because the humidity here is not very fun. We met our camp hosts at the campground and there were about as typical southerners as you could be. She innocently looked up at me and said, "I'm just looking at all of the presidents faces". That was pretty scary and priceless at the same ...

We're not coffee snobs, but are perking Yuban now and recently found a favorite, Community Coffee, only found here in Louisiana. It's a good-un.

More tomorrow or thereabouts... Pics included this eve, if I get my assets in gear.
