Today was cool and breezy. Kurt and I wandered all over the Venice Boardwalk & spent some time just chillaxin on the beach. Did a little shopping, had some lunch, then home for a nap before the boys set out for the Santa Monica Pier to celebrate NYE. I had planned to go along, but woke up with a migraine so I stayed in. No worries - more time to rest up for tomorrow's Parade of Roses!!!!! Goodbye 2014 - you were not exceptionally kind. I hope 2015 is a much better ...

So we had a super early start this morning, we got up at 3:30am in order to get our taxi to the airport. They recommended getting there two hours before even though its a domestic flight and thank god we did. The flight had been over booked and at first I didn't have a seat.
