    ... scratched the surface.

    I almost forgot to talk about my favorite foods!! Since it was my birthday I got to choose everything we ate! We had Ice Cream along the river, Pizza for lunch (I had wanted food truck food for lunch but we could not find one), Fairy bread for afternoon tea (this is just bread with butter and sprinkles!), Fish & Chips for dinner (I just found out this week that the fish is actually shark) and Caramel slice for dessert ...

    Today I decided to be productive and headed to one of the lounges/bars with my wool, knititng needles etc to join the knitting circle in knitting some poppies. Was enjoyable chatting to the ladies. Pete was on standby if the Gallipoli guys needed help in helping people with their Travel Companions and how to use them. If fires start they can start really quickly and with the right conditions will spread at well over 100km/hr - faster than you can drive out which is a scary thought. If you get caught you can’t outrun them and you can’t just sit in the car until it passes - the petrol tank will explode with the heat. It’s hard to imagine the ferocity of them but there’ve been some really terrible fires (and deaths) ...
