lighting that would have seemed like something out of sci-fi to me when I was
in either college or graduate school in the 1980s and early 1990s. There’s no

photorealist painting. That’s not a genre I’m very familiar with, but the idea
is painting either from photography or from sight to make the output look as
realistic and close to photographic accuracy as possible, the antithesis of the
trend since the Impressionist movement towards ever more moody, surreal, and
abstract representations in art.

... up, so did the waterways. They were filled in to make room for more housing. Today, what was water has been left as a field of grass so we were able to see what it would have looked like back then. I have to say the General Store made me feel old...............I recognized some of the "old" inventory!!! I'm sure it was from pictures.

... that the East-coast was entirely built-up without a tree in sight... but at that point he was in NYC having that perception well and truly reinforced. He was also in a spot of bother. He phoned; he had a problem. Bus tickets could only be bought on-line with a credit card, and all he had was cash. We tried to buy one for him, and discovered that they were sold out. Then we got a text to say "a very nice gentleman" had bought a ticket for him ...

Happy 4th of July everyone!! I figure today was a good day to write a new blog post because of this monumental occasion. Not only does it happen to be the 4th of July but it also happens to be 19 days until my trip! We are out of the 20's already!! Time sure is flying!!
You can be sure my trip date is on the calender in red pen, just in case anyone in my house ...
