Giants won last night and we made plenty of friends, but that is seriously all I have to say. I spent today in bed nursing the hangover from hell. ... houses. Floating houses need to pay property tax on the land below their house. The tour encompassed a lot of the city, by land and water and gave a real flavor for it, making us all pick things we would like to do or see on a return trip. ... was excellent. We then wandered around the parks at the bottom of it where there were roving entertainers and loads of people as it was Fathers Day. We then caught the monorail back to the hotel and wandered uptown to meet Alison and the kids. We had a very enjoyable dinner and returned to the hotel for a chat before saying goodbye.

Well, fast forward to today and I just received word that I've been selected for the position! The dates aren't confirmed yet, but it will be sometime in April for a week. There's a whole series of prep meetings between now and then, not to mention I need to put together a one-week lesson plan, but April can't come soon ...
