Around Thedford we caught up with the cell and played dodge the Hail core for a bit, taking some structure pictures all the while. Up over a ridge it gave it a good go, with circulation attempting to drop, but just couldn't get the job done.

... It had lovely structure on it, but these things don't last long, so we carried on our trip north.
Much effort was made to get us into a nicer hotel for the night after the Debacle of the night before. Quality Inn Colby was chosen.
Today (Monday) is another trip north to The Dakotas. I think we're aiming for Mount Rushmore this afternoon. That would be another couple of States off my list :)

Stayed in North Platte and went to Whiskey Creek for Dinner. Steak and plain salad the order of the day. I wasn't going to drink, but the mini sherbert Margaritas were calling to me (as they do) so I chased them with a long iced tea (not a Long island...).

... breakers overheating. After three hours, they had a 90 amp breaker installed (versus the manufacturer's 35 amp) installed and we were on our way. We headed west on I-80 and found a campground in Ogallala, NE. It was amazing how high the rivers were from the flash flooding.
Tomorrow - Colorado and the Rocky Mountains.
