    To get to the U.S. at Sault Ste. Marie you have to take the International bridge over the St. Marie river which is where Lake Superior dumps into Lake Huron. The Canadian Shield has been replaced by a bit of farmland, but the trees are still plentiful, I even saw a maple syrup farm. It's all about the bridges today! For a toll of $4 you get to cross the awesome Mackinac Bridge which takes you from St. Ignace to Mackinaw ...

    ... Silent Night" in over 300 languages. Jim found an interesting fact about the reason "Silent Night" was performed with guitar for its first performance. The organ was in need of repair so it wasn't playable hence the guitar. He said if he had known he would have fixed the organ in time for the performance!

    We head for Petoskey, MI Sunday. This stop should really be a step up for our stay. So stay tuned for the latest!

    ... Kenna are going fishing. The girls will likely lay around. And Laurie and I will sample Katie's drinks. Not too bad for the first day of vacation.
