... mails from her phone when away from home. Mission successful. Went to 3 yarn stores after that. Found out we were kinda shopped out. Went to our hotel, The Fairfield Inn Suites in North Portland. Went to a movie, "Chef". It was good. Took some pizza back to the hotel. This Marriott was not their finest. TV was ******. Couldn't get the major networks. Had to ask the front desk for the TV stations and the print out ...

Pretty happy to pull out the thongs too! We had a driver swap in a town called Weed and a bite to eat. Driving onwards through the city of Sacramento and shortly after Stockton where we stopped to make contact with Steph (who we may need to pick up from LA) and to have a quick ...

... mix. Too much traffic and tight places! Lunch was spent at a nice rest area right beside a big field of pumpkins! I guess it really is getting to be fall.

Mount Si is a mountain in North Bend Washington. It is roughly 40 minutes East of Seattle. The mountain is 4,167 feet tall, but the hike is only 3,500 up because it starts above sea level. The trail to the top is 4 miles long. This trail was supposed to be a start in preparing us to climb Mt Rainier this summer. I want to do a lot of hiking together in our first summer in Washington because we are aging ...

... GPS system we have, we were comfortable proceeding. Again, the weather cooperated with us and for the most part it was a smooth trip home. We even snuck into Central Oregon between major snow storms and road closures.

All in all, while the trip did not go as planned, it was a "real" adventure; we are glad we, at least, tried !!

Merry Christmas to all ! Wonder what the New Year has in store !!
