Got up at 5 am today to finish packing the car. Meeting Dave P in Minnetonka Mill to head over to the Pancake breakfast at Poles place. Jim Batman got there. Dave drove with Andrea and Russell and we all had a good breakfast. At 10 we took pictures and were on the road by 10:15. ... be pizza from the local Edwardo's Ristorante di Pizza across the street. Thin crust Sicilian pizza with pepperoni and sausage - it was delicious! Tomorrow we begin our journey west, as we cross back into Minnesota and head for South Dakota. Two days should have us in Wall,SD at the entrance to the Badlands National Park.

... huge mansions with the cold Minnesota winters!! Mary Kay then took us to the Cathedral of St. Paul, which is celebrating 100 years ( as is our home parish of St. Patrick!). We then headed over to great river bluffs to start our first camping
experience of the trip. As we drove into the area we were in awe. We
were expecting a little camp group on the Mississippi River but this
place was something else. The panoramic views from the lookout points
were amazing and the campground was extremely remote. We were some of
the only people there but it was so nice. All you could hear were the
sounds of nature around ...
