      ... Horseshoe Falls, resplendent in sun, vapour and partial invisibility. As we got nearer, the watery vapour spread everywhere and the water ponchos given before the trip started offered minimal resistance to the downpour. An amazing experience nonetheless - the boat at full throttle, it would seem, to counteract the force of the falling water, heading nowhere faced with a raging, teeming torrent.

We'd planned on getting the Hornblower Cruise (formerly Maid of the Mist) that takes you right up to the falls, as soon as we got there to give us enough time to find a pub for the football later.
