... waiting. Delay messages. Finally got word there was a mechanical problem and flight would not proceed. More waiting. Got booked into our worst accomodation of the trip. Oh well... At least only one night. Too bad our luxury room in Sydney was prepaid and non-refundable. But at least they found the mechanical problem before we took off! Not our best ...

... over in Mexico city where I met some nice Swedish and Norwegian people in the queue to get into the plan to LA and got some great tips for going to Norway (soooon!). A few hours on the plane and LAAAAA!!! Jinny and Serge met me at the airport and it was so good to see them both. I feel totally spoilt having been able to see my wonderful friend Jinny twice in one year. I do miss her now that she has moved away.

... for a swim we noticed there was a hula show on at 8pm so we made our way down to watch that, which turned out to be an awesome show! It included a few fire dances aswell which both Sina & I really enjoyed. After the show we went up to one of the 7 bars at our hotel as it had happy hour so we ordered a few cocktails (as they were half price) to end our busy first day of Fiji! ... everything else. I considered taking a shuttle to a nearby hotel and maybe hanging out there for a couple hours. But then I caught site of the check in lines here at the desk and they are WAY long. I don't think I would be able to relax and enjoy the hotel lobby/beach while wondering how and when I should come back to the airport.
