We were pretty pleased to be leaving Provincetown for a bigger city with hopefully some life. On the way down the coast we passed some mental halloween displays outside houses and took a detour to the Cape Cod crisp factory! Loads of free samples so I was happy. ... through the gate more than once he would not graduate and if a girl did it she would not get married. Obviously these were really old (and sexist) superstitions but I wonder how many people avoid that gate anyways. We spent the evening in a McDonalds using their wifi and managed to only get a coffee. ... snuff mill was saved from disrepair in the 1930's by a group of local art lovers.
Today it is an authentically restored museum complete with period furniture on twenty three acres of gardens adjacent to a stream.




























Our tour unfortunately was a little too early to see the trees in their true autumn ...

The extravagance of these properties used for such a short period of time was quite breathtaking!
